El Bosque is a 23-acre forest set aside for conservation.

We are part of the Biological Corridor Pajaro Campana, which is extremely important for the survival of many highly endangered species such as the Resplendent Quetzal, the Three-Wattled Bellbird and many other creatures that come here for food supply when the wild avocados are no longer found in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.

We are committed to protecting this area by using part of funds we attain from our lodge and tours for reforestation to keep the corridor alive.

When you stay in our lodge and/or when you take part in one of our tours, you’re not only getting a less touristy and more authentic experience but you’re also supporting a small business, that is truly passionate about their forest and the protection of this vitally important corridor.
