Spot many birds in Monteverde without walking too much! El Bosque Birdwatching Tour is a light walk that takes you over flat surfaces to see toucans, motmots, hummingbirds, and more.
SEE MONTEVERDE RAINFOREST AT NIGHT!
El Bosque is a small forest set aside for conservation.
It is part of the Biological Corridor Pajaro Campana, which is extremely important for the survival of many highly endangered species such as the Resplendent Quetzal, the Three-Wattled Bellbird and many other creatures that come here for food supply when the wild avocados are no longer found in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.
The Monteverde, Costa Rica Night Tour is a light walk in the forest with a small group of eight and a tour guide.
With a guide and a flashlight, exploring the forest at night can be an incredibly interesting experience, spotting and learning about the flora and animals and insects that move around when the sun goes down.
You might spot a lovely agouti, as well as howler monkeys and birds sleeping in trees. You may also find a bunch of the coolest insects like walking sticks, tarantulas and leafcutter ants.
The Monteverde Night Tour runs daily at 5:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., but the groups are exclusively limited to eight people, so it requires a reservation.
After you finish the tour, you can ask for a map to come back the next morning to keep exploring our trails on your own for free.
